Apart from my criticism of the movie, I’d like to stress that I really appreciate your efforts, Scorp, you are always bringing stuff to our attention that is worth watching, discussing and making an opinion about 🙂 Big thanks for that!
Well I ll agree with you there
A taut story-line has always been the hallmark of Tarantino’s movies , apart from his usual panache
This aint it , i am yet to watch , but whatever i have heard from my friends who watched it at the cinemas . this one is a big disappointment
I generally catch all my favorites at the Theatres but didnt feel like giving this one a go .
I guess I was right ;;)
7 out of his 9 major motion pictures I really like, but Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds was a disappointment for me. And Once upon a time in Hollywood? Well, I haven’t got a clue what he wanted to convey here! The script is a mess, a mere collection of scenes lacking a storyline. To the characters I remain totally unattached. You sit and wait for something to happen, but there is no real progress. And the sudden climax? It brought with it the relief that the waiting was over, but it was not worth the while. – This is just my personal experience of course. Maybe you like the pic. It offers a lot of stars and allusions to US westerns, spaghetti westerns, the Hippie culture, the Manson family and the music of these decades … but if you ask me, that’s not enough to make a movie that keeps you interested for 150 minutes 😉
