Correction on the HandBrake test, at 48bytes, the job was incomplete, it took another 8 minutes and finished at 135.6mb so it obviously re-encoded the clip which is not what was required but the clip was good.

on my Mac they decompressed as:
SAMPLE1M.mkv 105.4mb
SAMPLE2H.mkv 103.7mb
Both samples played with VLC but SAMPLE1M.mkv was much louder and SAMPLE2H.mkv presented pixelization with QuickLook.

After conversion with Subler to remove mkv wrapper
SAMPLE1M.mp4 105.9mb perfect
SAMPLE2H.mp4 444bytes no good

After conversion with Handbrake
SAMPLE2H.mp4 48bytes no good

i like the first sample. has good sound.
i can barely tell the difference in video. i still like the first one

I guess you are referring to SAMPLE1M :). TBH audio was not what I was working on, I have already set the standards for my rips as far as audio goes, It has all the filters and enhancements so that audio was bound to be good. Its the video , You ll need to look closely that too on a HD or preferably FGHD TV to catch the margins , artifacts and stuff b/w the ssamples…

that too from a distance of 2 feet .. coz after 3 feet its all crisp and clear and thats how it has to be , but I want my rips to be as good as they can be with the flawed concept of re encoding 🙂
But I would urge you to actually share the title of the first sample to avoid any confusion.
You guys will be having far crispier videos now as i have started using newer filters and will be giving some extra juice to all 720p rips 🙂


I would request you to check Varinat 720p & Three Christs 720p videos to see if I have been able to make them crispier 🙂 😉

it was SAMPLE1M as you said. i don’t have HD monitor sry. to add to what i said earlier, i like the colors in the video. i’m unable to explain why exactly 🙂

yes you are very very right in your feedback about the colors
The 2H sample has far cooler colors
Seems like I have zeroed in on what is good now 🙂
